The Hills are Alive!

Today we arrived by multiple trains and a boat in Hallstatt, Austria. Very picturesque town on a lake in the mountains- a very different scene from what we have been seeing lately (Prague, Munich, and Vienna).

Prague was a very cool medieval city, with a castle and a sweet old town center-  all of which was very well preserved. Crossed the famous Charles Bridge and visited the John Lennon grafitti wall.

We finally discovered Germany in Munich. Hello Bavaria!  We enjoyed most the English Garden with its huge Chinese tower and nearby biergarten. The sun finally came out and we enjoyed the day in the sunshine drinking beer and eating with the locals. That night we went to our first brauhaus (beer house) with our new Brazilian friend Manuela. The people couldnt have been nicer and our huge plates of meat with gravy were delicious! And of course Alana got beer-soaked berries with creme for dessert! (We sware we are doing more than just eating and drinking!)

We spent another warm sunny day strolling the streets of Vienna. We saw the Hapsburg Palace, the blinging Parliament building, and enjoyed some not-quite-blooming gardens (Alana was a little dissappointed). We stopped at the legendary Cafe Central for specialty coffee drinks and yummy cakes- a must do in Austria!

Hallstatt is stunning. We are excited to hike in the morning (not sure how far we will get up the mountain!) then its off to Salzburg to find Maria. We have been singing for days to get ready!

p.s. CHANGE IN PLANS. Stay tuned for an update (Brooke dont freak out!).
